The Newland Sierra project is a disaster for our North County inland region. Located in pristine open space and wildlife habitat on the northwest hill of I-15 and Deer Springs road, it would clog our freeway even more, increase GHG emissions, and cause the loss of one of the largest intact wildlife areas and corridors needed for the North County Habitat plans.
The County Planning Commission will hear this on June 28th beginning at 9 am at the County’s Kearny Mesa complex.
If you would like to attend the June 28,2018 Planning Commission hearing there will be buses transporting folks who wish not to drive. Please email admin@theclayco.com
Plan to depart at 7:30am. Meeting starts at 9am. The Commission is also providing an over flow day on June 29 in the event all testimony is not heard on the previous day.
Turnout is important for this hearing as it is the first of several for several projects, if built, will devastate our local environment, worsen our quality of life, and exacerbate the climate crisis.
