Sierra Club issued a Media Release today announcing a letter to each of three candidates running for Escondido city council races, Mike Morasco, Joe Garcia, Tina Inscoe were sent today requesting that the $4,300 they each received from Harvest Hills developers, Safari Highlands LLC be returned. The letters state, “In the name of good government and to remove any potential for future conflicts of interest, we ask that you to promptly return the donation.”
Let’s call on candidates to get money out of politics and return the donations.

Candidates accepting money from developers is such an obvious conflict of interest, it shouldn’t even be legal to do so! How absolutely ridiculous. That money should be returned and should never have been accepted in the first place! How disgraceful.
