At the North end of Daley Ranch, you start out on Cougar Ridge Trail, turn north through the lush woodlands of the Englemann Oak Trail around Burnt Mountain, then return back on Cougar Ridge. Along the Cougar Ridge Trail is a creek lined with Coast Live Oak, and as the trail rises in elevation you will encounter the rare Englemann Oak, which is an evergreen oak found only in parts of interior Southern California.
