Volunteer With Us!
March 5, 2016 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am
Join us on Saturday, March 5, from 8-11AM for a habitat restoration project at the San Dieguito River Park. The SDRP has plans to plant 14,000 new trees on Bernardo Mountain near Lake Hodges, and the rangers have been working hard to get these trees planted, but they need our help! The restoration of Bernardo Mountain will provide wildlife habitat that is essential to many endangered species like the California gnatcatcher and coastal cactus wren.
To register for this event, please send an email to Suzi Sandore at hikersuzi16@gmail.com with your name and number of people you’ll be bringing.
SDRP will supply the work gloves and tools; wear sturdy shoes or boots as we will be hiking about 1/2 mile to our work area. Bring your own water, sun screen, hat, and sunglasses.
We will meet at Del Dios Community Park off of Lake Dr near Lake Hodges at 8AM.
