SUMMARY:NCG Winter Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Come Explore the Lost Coast\nJoin us for this evening’s presentation as we explore the rugged coastal terrain of the Kings Range National Conservation Area. The Lost Coast Trail – the name alone congers thoughts of a mystical fable land of epic proportions and it’s not far off from the reality of the adventure. This is a coastal backpack like no other and member Karen Landes will take you along the journey through photography. She will  discuss the specific consideration required in planning for this trip. Including shuttles\, tides\, bears\, sleeper waves and more. She will also discuss the various places along the trail to camp\, find water sources\, high tide problem areas and wildlife encounters. One of the great things about this hike is that it can be adjusted to be an easy\, moderate or hard trip depending on your preference. Karen recommends taking your time to explore and enjoy this natural gem. \nThe meeting is open to the public. There will be time to socialize with other Sierra Club members and refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there!
