Sierra Club’s North County Group Executive Committee (ExCom) has voted to support the Immigrant Relief Fund, a project of Alliance San Diego providing relief for victims of the humanitarian crisis unfolding along the U.S./Mexico border.
The committee agreed to donate $500 to the fund to help support immigrants, including asylum seekers, with emergency needs during the current crisis.
“Living at the doorstep of Mexico, we understand how connected we are across borders and nations,” said Joe Houde, ExCom chairman. “We urge our members to join us in donating to the Immigrant Relief Fund to support those in need during this crisis at the border.”
